About me

Hello. I’m Harriet, and I’m a UKCP accredited psychotherapist.

Do you feel a bit stuck in life? Maybe you want more depth in your relationships. Maybe you're craving a safe space to process a recent loss or painful event. Perhaps you want to gain more trust in your own intuition, or even explore a new way of being in the world.

People come to me to work through all kinds of issues. At the heart of my work is my relationship with you. Together we take steps to understand and alleviate what is oppressing you, so you can feel lighter and more present in life. Sometimes we discover a new way of responding to a situation that feels more authentic or rewarding. Please read more about the way I work here:

I welcome people from a diverse range of backgrounds into my therapy room. I'm an anti-racist practitioner and I respond to your unique pace and needs. What matters most is that you feel safe, understood and able to use the space for your own growth.

Training, qualifications & experience

I trained for 6 years at London Centre for Psychodrama, before being awarded my Advanced Diploma in Group and Individual Psychotherapy.

I founded and run a very low-cost, inclusive psychodrama psychotherapy group. It is currently over-subscribed. The group is extremely diverse, mirroring the melting pot of London. We explore issues of belonging, home, internalised and systemic racism; as well as fostering the ongoing skill of simply 'being' in a group together. We navigate periods of rupture and repair, with the aim of applying what's learned and experienced inside the group, to one's life in the outside world.

I've been working in private practice since 2020. I see clients for a range of issues including recovering from incest, addiction and eating disorders as well as unpacking the impact of racism, discrimination and oppressive work cultures. We work collaboratively to create liberating, lasting change.

I have experience working in a specialist Therapeutic Community for those with complex personality disorders in the NHS.

I volunteered with survivors of human trafficking - helping them give voice to their experience in a creative and empowering way.

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

Additional information

An initial assessment is a low-cost introductory 50 minute session. It’s for you to ‘assess me’, as much as I’m learning about you. You can ask me questions about the therapy process and experience a little of the way I work, before committing to therapy. In assessments I also share my clinical opinion of your material, and how we might work together to help you.

The initial assessment session costs £40. The remaining 2 (if needed) cost £75 per session and are payable in advance.

Therapy sessions cost £80 per session.

Both assessment and therapy sessions last 50 minutes.

I have a few low cost slots for those on universal credit or have a low income. Please email me to inquire about whether any of these concessionary slots are available.

Further information

I practice cultural humility and I'm an anti-racist practitioner. I work with issues that range from the domestic to as huge as managing anxiety during a climate crisis.

If you're curious about my way of working, I encourage you to book in for an assessment session. These are one off, preliminary sessions for you to assess whether I'm the right therapist for you, as well as my learning about you and your needs. Assessments last 50 minutes. The initial assessment is £40 and any after that if needed at £75.
