About me
Welcome, and thank you for visiting this page. I’m Hannah, a qualified psychotherapist based on the border of Shropshire and Powys, offering a safe, confidential space for adults and young people aged 11 and over.
I understand that reaching out for support can feel daunting, so I aim to provide a calm, compassionate environment where you can talk openly at your own pace.
My approach is relational and integrative, meaning I draw on different therapeutic models. This aids working collaboratively, tailoring therapy to your individual needs and experiences.
Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, low in mood, or struggling with relationships, identity, school, work, life transitions, or the effects of trauma, therapy can offer time and space to make sense of what is happening for you and to explore new ways forward.
If you are considering therapy and would like to find out more, I am happy to answer any questions you may have and discuss whether I might be a good fit for you.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have an Masters in Counselling Psychology. I work in a person-centred and integrative way, placing your individual needs and experiences at the heart of therapy, as I believe you are your own expert.

Additional training includes:
- Rewind Therapy
- NVQ level 3 Children’s care learning and development
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy - Level 4

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
*Psychoeducation sessions are also available for individuals or for adults supporting young people.
*HWJ counselling also provides the opportunity for low cost counselling with a trainee person-centred counsellor with experience in healthcare, including pastoral and wellbeing services, as well as horticultural therapy. Their background has given them insight into how emotional, physical and spiritual wellbeing can impact people’s lives.
The counsellor aims to walk alongside clients with compassion, offering a safe and non-judgemental space to support people in being their authentic selves and to facilitate their growth in a way that feels right for them, at their own pace.
Sessions with a trainee counsellor start from £25 and can last for up to 10 sessions.
