About me

I am a friendly and experienced Counselling Psychologist with over 10 years’ experience in helping my clients to overcome a wide range of difficulties and develop better relationships with themselves and others. Working with adult clients (21+) from a, primarily, cognitive behavioural therapy approach (CBT), I aim to work in a supportive, individually-tailored and collaborative way to help people to make sense of their experiences and develop solutions and strategies to manage these. I am a Registered Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and strive to ensure that I offer the highest standards of care, confidentiality, support and professionalism at all times.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

HCPC
Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
