About me
I know that taking the first steps to seeking support can be daunting, but I’m here to make those steps a little bit easier by offering a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space to help you explore the things that are happening in your life. Life can feel hugely overwhelming and stressful at times, and it can really help to talk to someone, no matter how big or small the problem feels
I am an integrative counsellor and believe that the relationship we build is at the heart of the work we do together. I offer empathy, understanding, and aim to build trust and a feeling of safety so that you can bring whatever it is that you would like to explore with me. I incorporate elements of CBT into the work I do, as well as also looking at patterns that may be recurring in your life and relationships, and exploring how things that have happened in your past may be impacting on your current thoughts and behaviours.
I have experience of working with a variety of issues including anxiety, panic attacks, low mood and depression, life changes, motherhood overwhelm, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, and sexual abuse. I offer face-to-face sessions, as well as Zoom sessions online, and also offer a free 15-minute consultation call for us to have an introduction and so that I can answer any questions you may have before you decide if I feel like the right fit for you. So, if you’re looking to unpack something that has happened in your life, whether you want to make changes for yourself, or whether you feel that you need someone to talk to about the stresses of everyday life, then please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Training, qualifications & experience
I work with adults and have experience of working with depression, anxiety, panic disorder, relationship breakdowns, feeling overwhelmed, confidence and self-esteem. I also have experience of working with adult carers and understand the complexities of the feelings that being in this role can bring.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
