About me
I am a Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist with over 10 years' experience working with children, young people and their families. I have worked in CAMHS in the NHS, in charities and in schools.
I work with children, young people and families to support emotional wellbeing, develop greater understanding and strengthen relationships. I see children and young people with a range of needs including trauma, anxiety and low mood. Before retraining as a Child Psychotherapist, I trained and worked as a primary school teacher.
I offer a thoughtful and containing space where children and young people can explore their feelings, experiences and relationships, and where parents and carers can develop a deeper understanding of their child and feel more confident in supporting them. For younger children I use play and art to help children to explore their feelings.
Sometimes it can be difficult to put into words what is troubling us. Therapy offers an opportunity to slow things down and make space to think about what may be going on. I offer a calm, consistent space where children, young people and parents can make sense of experiences, foster resilience and find new ways of relating.
