About me
Hi I’m Hannah, Thank you for looking at my profile.
I understand that you may be here seeking a therapist in support of a specific problem or difficulty, or it may be that you are feeling low and don't quite know why. Either way, I will do my best to support you to explore and make sense of your difficulties. With an aim to restore a sense of peace and calm within yourself.
Areas of Speciality
Work with Anxiety (general anxiety, health anxiety, panic, OCD) - Are you living with anxiety? Living with anxiety may leave you feeling overwhelmed, exhausted and drained. Persistent negative thoughts may mean you are always feeling on edge and worrying that something bad is about to happen. I can help you to understand the root cause of your anxiety, and learn strategies to manage and reduce your levels of anxiety. I have a level 6 qualification in CBT and can use this knowledge to support you in reducing your anxiety and increase your quality of life.
Relational Trauma (trauma resulting from relationships) - Have you difficult experiences of past relationships? These could be your relationships from childhood or at other stages of your life. Difficult past experiences can shape how we think and feel about ourselves. Maybe this has led you to feeling stuck in unhealthy relationships? or finding yourself taking on familiar roles in relationships (e.g. people pleasing) that you don't know how to break out of. Perhaps you struggle to know who you are outside of your relationships?
I have experience of supporting adults who are survivors of both childhood and adult domestic abuse. I will help you to understand more about your relationships, provide a safe space to process and explore difficult experiences and increase yourself esteem and self worth.
Work with Parents - Are you struggling with breaking cycles in generational trauma? worried about passing toxic behaviour to your child? Struggling to adapt to parenthood? experiencing burnout from your parenting? Finding parental guilt difficult to manage? never feeling 'good enough'?. I will provide a safe and none judgmental space in which you can explore your parenting experiences. Together we can work to break cycles you do not wish to repeat, and increase your self esteem and self worth which in turn will improve the relationship you have with your child.
Neurodivergence post diagnostic work - I can provide post diagnostic work (formal or self diagnosis) for adults who have been diagnosed with Autism, ADHD or specific learning difficulties. This work centres around supporting you to develop understanding of your identity and values in light of your diagnosis, alongside processing and reframing past difficult experiences if requiring a space to do this.
Why choose me as your therapist?

- I am a warm, calm and easygoing person. I bring humour into therapy and don't take myself seriously
- I am open and accepting. I welcome people from all differing backgrounds and life experiences
- I have no preconceived ideas of how we will work together and appreciate everyone is unique. I will adapt my approach to suit you and your needs.
Professional experience
Alongside qualifying as a counsellor and Psychotherapist, I have worked within the NHS as an Assistant Clinical Psychologist in both adult and children services for 10 years. Within this role I have provided talking therapies to both children and adults. I am also experienced in completing diagnostic assessments as part of a Multidisciplinary Team for various neurodevelopmental conditions (Autism, ADHD, Learning Disabilities) and Dementia.
I have also worked at Women’s Aid in Nottinghamshire for two years. Within this role I have provided trauma informed counselling to female survivors of domestic abuse, childhood abuse and stalking.
My approach
I am an integrative therapist; this means I work with different therapeutic models and adapt my approach to meet each individual person needs. I believe every person and their circumstances are unique and therefore I don’t practice in a ‘one size fits all’ approach to therapy.
I aim to work alongside you to understand what you would like to gain from therapy and what style of support feels best suited to you. I work in collaboration with clients and will complete regular reviews to ensure you feel happy and comfortable with our work together.

I am based at Revival Clinic in Bawtry, Doncaster for in person appointments on Monday to Thursdays (Morning, afternoon & Evening). I also can provide online / telephone counselling. I offer a discount of £25 on the initial session for all clients.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
