About me
Hi, I’m Hannah, a qualified and registered therapist (MBACP). I believe that real change can happen when you feel supported enough to be vulnerable, honest and curious about yourself. My approach is to take time to understand what it’s like to be you and how your world works. Then we can start exploring things like why you feel or behave the way you do, and how to create space to make changes that’ll help you feel different.
My experience
I’ve worked with people from many different backgrounds, but I’m especially passionate about supporting those who feel stuck or who want to make sense of difficult periods of their life. Therapy can sometimes feel daunting at first, but we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you, in a compassionate and supportive way.
Our work together isn’t only about talking through what has happened. It’s also about understanding patterns, developing new ways of responding, and finding ways to feel more in control and at peace. I find that this approach can be very helpful for people experiencing anxiety, depression or low self-esteem.
A little about me
My practice is based in Histon & Impington, just outside Cambridge. I work with adults and young people, and am happy to meet online or in person. In addition to my private practice, I’m lucky enough to work with the amazing Cambridge Acorn Project, where I support children and young people who’ve experienced complex trauma and abuse.
As a therapist, I offer an inclusive and affirming space for everyone, including LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent clients, such as those with ADHD and autism. I recognise that your identity can shape how you experience the world, including how you experience relationships, mental health, and the systems around you.
I’m also interested in how creativity and the arts can support mental health. If it feels helpful, we might sometimes bring simple creative approaches into our sessions, like doodling as we talk, or using pen and paper to map out thoughts and feelings. Sometimes creative approaches can help people express things that feel difficult to put into words, but there’s no pressure to do this; many people prefer simply talking, and that’s completely welcome too.
If you think we might be a good fit, get in touch and we can arrange a free initial 20 minute chat.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
