About me
Are you fed up with shrinking yourself for others? Are you looking for someone to work with while you figure things out and find your confidence? If low confidence or a lack of self-esteem is holding you back, therapy could be the safe space to talk, build yourself up, and tackle the trauma, issues, or hurdles that you feel are holding you back.
If relationships, family issues or people-pleasing are problems for you, but you feel like you deserve more in your life and want to tackle the things that have been too hard to face before - I’d love to work with you.
Counselling doesn’t have to be all-consuming - at just one hour a week, either online so that you can do the work flexibly at a time and place to suit you, or in person so you can get comfy on the sofa whilst you share;
Therapy can help in these ways:
- Talking through who you are, and who you want to be, without fear of judgement, giving you the clarity to make decisions for yourself
- Ongoing support, cheering for the wins and recalibrating when things are tough
- A space for you to be yourself, develop healthy coping mechanisms and maintain your wellbeing
- Recognising relationship patterns, the roots of behaviours so that you can make choices, set boundaries and give yourself the freedom to be authentically you with confidence
As a counsellor - I’m human too, I have seen the impact that hiding problems away had, and been through my own life experiences that meant I trained to help others after also having help from counsellors and seeing the impact that it had. I’m also a parent and didn’t want the relationship patterns from my turbulent childhood to follow me through life. Juggling parenting responsibilities and family life whilst looking after yourself can be exhausting at times - and brings unique life challenges! (And also some funny moments to share too, even in the counselling room, you can laugh, swear, cry - it’s all welcome)
I know that things can be tough, and having someone who isn’t part of your everyday life to be there for you, who cares and respects you as an individual can be invaluable. Since being in private practice I’ve gained over 400 clinical hours, supporting clients just like you to make changes that have seen them feel more confident, lighter, and grow in ways they never expected.
I’m a fully qualified, accredited counsellor with the NCPS - and if you’d like to work with me, you can get in touch for a chat to see if we’re a good fit, and if our schedules line up!
I look forward to hearing from you.
