About me

Hello and welcome. Reaching out for support can be a huge step. As a counsellor I'm here to provide you with a safe, non-judgmental, and confidential space where your concerns are not just heard but deeply understood.

I am committed to helping you find the strength within to overcome challenges and lead a more fulfilling life. As a trained integrative therapist I am able to offer tailored therapy for individual adults, both short and long-term, providing you with flexibility and personalised support.

We can work together in a number of different ways: face-to-face indoor sessions, online therapy, or the rejuvenating experience of outdoor therapy.

My approach is rooted in warmth and compassion, with the understanding that you hold the key to your own transformation. I'm here to help you unlock the wisdom and insights that reside within you, walking alongside you toward a brighter, more fulfilling future.

Whatever your journey I will strive to support you on your own individual path toward personal growth, increased self-awareness, and positive change.

Training, qualifications & experience

Qualifications:

  • CPCAB L4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling
  • CPCAB L3 Certificate in Counselling Studies
  • CPCAB L2 Counselling Skills Course (Condensed)
  • CPCAB L2 Award in Introduction to Counselling Skills

Other Qualifications:

  • QCF Level 3 High Performance Coach (British Triathlon)

Background and Experience:

I bring a unique background to my counselling practice that includes ten years of experience working as an outdoor sports coach specialising in open-water swimming. Over the years, I've witnessed a growing trend of people turning to outdoor activities like swimming as a means of improving their mental health. This firsthand knowledge has made me keenly aware of the powerful connection between nature and mental well-being. I have coached and supported many individuals taking on ultra-endurance events and challenges. This was where I found my passion for the mind-body connection. These additional skills of helping support people overcome great mental and physical challenges give my practice an added depth of understanding around empowerment, resilience, and personal belief.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
