Dip Therapist/Counsellor at WithSelf

About me

Everyone needs someone to talk to. To run through thoughts, feelings & emotions about difficult situations in our lives. Sometimes with those who are close to us, it can feel ‘too close', to have heartfelt conversations as we may feel fearful of judgement or don't want to ‘burden’ them with our emotions.

As a qualified person-centred counsellor & psychotherapist, I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) working under their ethical framework. I offer a safe, confidential & non-judgemental space for you to be as open & vulnerable as you feel to be.

As humans, we are all so beautifully complex. I working integratively, meaning I utilise a variety of approaches based on your individual needs. Within this flexible approach, we would work together, to explore the thoughts, feelings, beliefs and behaviours that are negatively impacting your well-being. You will be supported on a collaborative journey towards a perspective that sheds new light on your sense of self, clarifying any difficulties & empowering you to find solutions.

The ideal outcome is that you develop a strong sense of self, allowing you to find happiness & balance in all aspects of life. An independent journey to a better way of managing your mental wellbeing.

I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, from the CPCAB, the UK's leading counselling awarding organisation.

As a qualified therapist, I am a registered, Individual member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy)

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
