About me

Sometimes difficulties we experience in our lives and relationships can feel overwhelming or out of our control. We may wonder why we react in certain ways or why problems seem to repeat themselves. Or we may just need some holding when life gets bumpy. I provide a space where you can feel held and deeply understood, where you can bring all parts of yourself without judgement. I can help you to explore where and why patterns of thinking, feeling and behaviour may have formed, and support you to release their grip to bring about the changes you need. As a couple I can help you to work through difficulties and improve connection.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am trained in Counselling and Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy, and have completed additional training in Couples Counselling. As well as being accredited by NCPS, I am also a UKCP trainee psychotherapist. I work integratively, tailoring therapy to the individual/couple and their needs.

I am also an Occupational Therapist and have worked across adult mental health and physical disability settings. I bring a wealth of experience from this to my psychotherapy practice and I welcome clients who are impacted by disability and life-limiting illness, either themselves, or as carers and loved ones.

Wheelchair user access info
Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a Counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the Counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.

For anyone who requires it, I can work from a ground floor wheelchair accessible room. I can do home visits in central Stroud for anyone who is housebound and prefers face to face sessions (one slot available)
