About me
Do you need help figuring out exactly what it is that's preventing you from living the way you'd like to? Or do you feel you already know exactly what it is you'd like to change, but just don’t know where to start to make that happen?
Whatever your reason for seeking support, it's important to me that we work collaboratively. We’ll explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours together with the aim of finding ways for you to bring about change, to begin to move forwards positively and to thrive.
I work with a broad range of clients whose needs and hopes or goals are diverse and so the approaches and strategies I draw upon will depend on your individual needs. I tailor my practice carefully, always in agreement with you and in line with your preferences. This is because I believe that who we are and the way we experience life is different for each of us and the kind of support needed at challenging times differs from person to person.
My qualification is in Integrative Counselling and Coaching which means I employ a range of approaches, including some which are dynamic and directive where appropriate.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have worked as part of a large GP practice, am a Priory Healthcare Therapist and have my own private practice. I also volunteer as a therapist for Frontline19, a charity which provides support for NHS workers experiencing mental health difficulties.
I have experience of working with a diverse group of clients, often with those looking for support relating to:
• anxiety: social anxiety, anxiety relating to a specific aspect of your life, or generalised anxiety
• depression, low mood
• bereavement, grief & loss
• traumatic experiences
• relationship difficulties
• low self-esteem / low self-worth / low self-confidence
• unhealthy boundaries
• lack of assertiveness
• stress management
• anger management
• life transitions: moving home, from studying to working, menopause, retirement
I have extensive experience of working with clients online via Zoom and am therefore able to ensure that we quickly develop a close therapeutic relationship, a vital element of all effective therapy. The increased flexibility which online therapy can offer is also something many of my clients appreciate.
I offer a free 30-minute initial consultation which you can book by contacting me from here or through my website.
I am a qualified counsellor with a Post Graduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Coaching and am registered with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy [BACP]. I adhere strictly to their ethical framework.
Additional post-qualification professional training has included:
Working with clients with ADHD
Working with women with ADHD
Working with relational trauma
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I offer a FREE initial online or phone consultation [approx. 30 minutes] which allows you to tell me a little about what brings you to seek support and about what you hope to achieve.
It also provides an opportunity for you to find out more about me and the way I work and to ask any questions you may have. In this way you will be able to make an informed decision about choosing me as your counsellor.
I am now also offering online sessions which can be combined with outdoor walk and talk sessions or with in-person sessions. Please contact me for further details if this is something which interests you.
