Giulia Dallas, MA DramaTh, HCPC Reg.
Perhaps you have tried talking therapy in the past and felt like it didn't work for you. Or maybe you find it difficult to talk about how you really feel. Sometimes when we open up to those close to us we may be met with misunderstanding or even rejection.
How I Can Help
I'm a dramatherapist and I specialise in supporting mums who feel they are struggling with their mental, emotional or physical health.
You might wonder whether what you’re feeling is ‘normal’ or whether you are a 'good enough' mum. There might be a particular issue which is causing you stress; anxiety, loss, body image, a relationship or a life changing event. Whatever the demands placed on you, whether through family or work, it is important that your emotional and physical health needs are not neglected.
Therapy can provide a breathing space; an opportunity to offload stresses, feel less anxious or overwhelmed, manage changes and improve self-confidence.
How I Work
I work in a holistic, client-led way, which means I observe the feelings of both body and mind, and work with the issues you want to prioritise. I understand that it can be difficult to make time for yourself and you may be unsure if therapy is for you.
A short phone consultation will give us the chance to meet and talk about how we might work together. You can then decide on whether to book a full length online consultation. Here we can discuss your issues further, you can ask me questions and get a feel for what therapy with me would be like. There is no obligation to commit to therapy if you have a consultation. It is very important to me that you feel comfortable and think that the therapy I offer is what you're looking for.
Therapy usually takes place weekly at the same time, however twice weekly or fortnightly sessions may be possible on further discussion.
Online or telephone therapy also means my support is accessible from anywhere in the UK and is Covid-safe!
I look forward to hearing from you.
