About me
How I Can Help
Are you suffering in silence? This can feel incredibly lonely. It is also incredibly common if you are a woman as we often continue to struggle through even when we are sapped of energy or joy.
Sometimes talking to those close to you can feel difficult. You may worry about their reactions or judgements. Therapy can help by giving you a space away from your everyday life to talk about what you are feeling and explore ways to feel better.
I work with women and mothers who are experiencing anxiety, depression, pregnancy difficulties, family issues, or who need to heal from their own childhood trauma.
Whether it is past experiences or a recent event that is causing you to feel stressed, we can work towards finding manageable ways to deal with your problems. You do not need to feel guilty about taking time for yourself. If you get the support you need to make positive changes, it will also benefit those around you.
My approach is person centred, holistic and integrative. As well as talking, you can also work with movement or creative arts in therapy. Working with body and mind can give you a better understanding of what is going on for you. This will help to relieve stress and increase self-esteem, by building a better relationship with yourself.
I can help with:
- anxiety and depression (including social anxiety and postnatal depression)
- trauma
- feeling sad
- childhood anxieties
- family issues
- parenting
- miscarriage and loss
- difficult birth experience
I understand how debilitating it can feel when you don’t know where to turn. You don't have to do this alone. It would be my privilege to help you.
Starting Therapy
You may be unsure about starting therapy or have questions. Asking for help can feel daunting, but it is an important first step to feeling better.
A short phone call or in-person appointment will give us the chance to meet, for you to ask questions, and discover how therapy with me can help you.
Where I Work
Online counselling, via the Zoom platform, or telephone appointments are ideal if it is difficult to find time for therapy as there is no travel required.
I can also offer therapy by email. Please enquire for further details.
Clinical Supervision
I am also a clinical supervisor with online and telephone availability. I am trained to work across modalities with therapists, counsellors, head teachers, school governors, social workers and perinatal practitioners. I use a combination of talking and creative methods to provide a reflective space for your practice. (I have a separate supervisor profile which provides more details).
For more information about my services or to book an appointment, please contact me at giulia@mumsthewordtherapy.com or phone 07513781001.
