About me
Not sure what you’re looking for? This is a great place to start, to look after you and invest in yourself or your relationship as a couple.
Are you struggling with anxiety or feeling stressed? Or maybe you are feeling depressed, or simply overwhelmed? Life can feel full of all these difficult emotions at times. for many reasons, which can feel extremely hard to carry every day and this can impact on our mood, wellbeing and our relationships with others. Good friends can be a lifeline but sometimes we need a separate space that allows for a different connection to be made to help find our way through. Therapy can provide this. It changed my path in life for the better allowing a greater understanding of myself and how to manage the challenges that life brings, With my support, this could do the same for you.
We all need to feel heard. I will provide you with a space to talk and bring yourself, and we can explore what is making you feel stressed or anxious and help you find your way through..
I work differently depending on who you are and what you bring and need, making this experience individual to you. I am also a trained couples therapist so if you are struggling with issues within your relationship I can provide a safe space for you both to bring these issues to explore and how they impact on you as a couple.
Through my previous career in the NHS, I also have additional experience in the challenges of early parenthood , as well as supporting parents who have children with chronic illness or bereavement.
If any of the above feels familiar to you and you need someone to talk to please do contact me and let's face those challenges together.
Starting counselling can feel very daunting but you have made the first step. I offer a free 15 minute telephone or video call to see if this feels right for you before booking sessions.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, Certificate in Family Therapy and MA in Infant Mental Health.
I have a Diploma in Couples and Relationship Therapy.
I have experience working with anxiety/stress, low mood/depression, low self-esteem as well as relational and family issues.
I also work in a charity supporting new and pregnant mothers .
I have experience working in the NHS with parents and families of children with chronic illness/life threatening illness and bereavement.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
