About me
Are you searching for a therapist who truly understands what it means to live as a neurodivergent person? A therapist who respects your lived experience and welcomes you as you are, without expectation or judgment? If you have ever felt you must hide your authentic self, or wonder how life could feel if you didn’t, you are invited to discover a new layer of support.
I am Giancarlo Cristea, a neurodivergent integrative psychotherapist. My practice is not about one size fits all solutions. Instead, I blend Person Centred, Psychodynamic, DBT, Schema Therapy, and Internal Family Systems approaches to create a space that is safe, responsive, and potentially transformative for neurodivergent individuals.
My own neurodivergence (Autism & ADHD) means I deeply understand how neurodivergent minds move through the world: sometimes misunderstood, sometimes undervalued, but always full of creativity, depth, and unique strengths. In my work, warmth, authenticity, and acceptance are foundational. Neurodivergence is not a flaw or hurdle—it is a rich variation of humanity. Whether you are autistic, living with ADHD, or connect to any other neurodivergent experience, your gifts are recognised and celebrated.
Sessions are built on mutual respect, trust, and genuine curiosity. There is no need to mask or change who you are to belong in therapy. The purpose is not to “fix” you, but to help you uncover, nurture, and embrace who you truly are. We proceed at your pace, shaping your therapeutic path around your experiences, emotions, and needs.
Therapy with me is holistic. We might explore connections between past and present, mind and body, health and meaning. Your story, identity, and preferences guide every session. Sensory experiences, communication differences, and the full breadth of your values are welcomed, making the process accessible and empowering.
Whatever challenges you face, anxiety, depression, relationship stress, life transitions, or curiosity about consciousness, I am here to walk beside you. You do not have to go through it alone.
To begin, I offer a free introductory session. This open, welcoming conversation is a chance to see if my approach fits your needs.
As a National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) member, I maintain the highest standards of ethics and professional care.
If you are ready to explore self acceptance, healing, and the unique celebration of your neurodivergent identity, I invite you to reach out. Your journey can begin today, in a space devoted to supporting your full and authentic self.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
