MA Art Psychotherapy Practice

About me

I offer one-to-one and Group Art Therapy sessions for those living with chronic pain, long term health conditions, physical disabilities, neurodiversity, SPLD and carer groups.

I am trained in Art Psychotherapy, Talking Therapies and applied CBT skills. I work in a trauma-informed and person-centred way in order to help you to process and breakdown the challenges you may be facing.

Face-to-face and remote sessions are available for either one-to-one or small group bookings. I also offer creative wellbeing groups in community settings.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified Art Psychotherapist registered with BAAT and HCPC. I studied Art Psychotherapy Practice at Leeds Beckett University, where I graduated in 2022.

Currently, I work with individuals experiencing chronic pain, illness, and disability. I also offer both one-on-one and group sessions for caregivers.

I am committed to continuously improving my skills to better support my clients. I attend various training and continuing professional development (CPD). Recent courses include; Applied CBT Skills for practice (Leeds Beckett University), Understanding Adverse Childhood Experiences, Specialist Mental Health Mentoring training, and Autism Awareness.

HCPC
Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
