Counselling provides the time and space for you to reflect and explore. Together we create a productive therapeutic relationship within which you are heard and supported without judgement or criticism.
I work with a person-centred approach where the working relationship between counsellor and client is significant in creating conditions for growth.
I understand how stressful and challenging life can be. How overwhelming work, relationships and family life often are and how desperate the need can be to find purpose and meaning in our lives.
Adapting and coping with change can make all the difference to our happiness and resilience. These changes can be entering relationships, parenting, retirement, redundancy and in particular relationship breakdown and divorce. It could also be how we manage loss, anxiety, and the causes and impact of low self- worth.
Can counselling make a difference for you?
I firmly believe positive change will happen, whether you are looking to create a life change or perhaps the way you feel about circumstances that may seem beyond your control - seeking peace and acceptance. I offer a safe space for you to explore these feelings and possibilities.
Making that initial step to reach out is a huge moment and demonstrates a determination to process, understand and accept who you are. I am dedicated to offering the support that you deserve and look forward to hearing from you.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
