About me
Sometimes life feels harder than it should. You might feel stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply aware that something isn’t quite right.
Therapy can help you understand yourself more clearly, untangle what’s keeping you stuck, and find new ways of responding to life’s challenges.
I work in an integrative way, drawing on different therapeutic approaches rather than following one fixed method. This allows me to tailor therapy to your individual needs.
Whatever brings you to therapy, we’ll explore not only what’s happening now, but also the experiences and patterns that may lie beneath it. Together, we’ll make sense of what’s going on, helping you understand yourself more clearly and move towards lasting change.
I offer in-person sessions from my private garden therapy room in Ashtead, Surrey, as well as online sessions.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold a BA (Hons) in Integrative-Relational Counselling and am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
My training is grounded in integrative relational therapy, drawing on person-centred, psychodynamic, existential and attachment-informed approaches. This allows me to adapt my way of working to the individual, rather than expecting clients to fit a single therapeutic model.
Alongside my academic training, I have experience supporting adults through counselling placements within GP practice settings and hospice services, working with clients experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent many years in leadership and marketing roles. That background gives me an understanding of the pressures many people experience around work, responsibility, identity and change, while my therapeutic work remains rooted in curiosity, empathy and collaboration.
I undertake regular clinical supervision, engage in ongoing professional development and work within the BACP Ethical Framework.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

What to expect
Reaching out for therapy can feel like a significant step, especially if you’re used to managing things on your own.
If you’re unsure whether counselling is right for you, you’re welcome to arrange a free introductory call. This gives us an opportunity to talk about what has brought you to therapy, ask any questions you may have, and consider whether we feel like a good fit for working together.
Sessions last 50 minutes and are available either in person in Ashtead or online.
I work with adults aged 18 and over and welcome clients from a wide range of backgrounds and life experiences.
