About me

Hi, I'm Francesca Im BACP registered integrative therapist which means I work with a variety of modalities, however, we all experience the world differently so it's therefore important that your therapeutic experience is tailored to your needs and suits you.

I work at your own pace and your focus, as you are the expert on you.

I feel there is nothing more beautiful and rewarding than helping others through difficult times and feel that everyone can benefit from having a safe space to just be you without any judgement.

My role as a therapist is to provide a safe and supportive space through which you might better understand the difficulties you may be facing, how you feel and how you can move forward without feeling overwhelmed.  It's ok not to be ok

My experience and training enables me to offer help with a range of issues such as

Depression
Anxiety
Addiction
Eating Disorder
Self - Harm
Trauma
Self Esteem
Menopause
Please give me a call or email and we can arrange a free initial consultation to discuss your needs and see if we are a good match to work together.

Therapy can be a part of a treatment plan but it can also be a form of self-care that helps us process past experiences, increase our self-awareness and live a fulfilling life.

I am always grateful to my clients who have let me grow and learn with them, they have trusted me and given me the privilege of sharing their stories with me.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and I am a Registered member of the BACP

I have monthly supervision and I am fully insured.

I also regularly partake in CPD [continuing professional development]

During my counselling training, I volunteered for 2 years, working at 2 different agencies, working with a diverse range of clients both face to face and online. I have experience working with anxiety, depression, bereavement, anger, abuse, trauma, eating disorders, low self-esteem and addiction.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Further information

The most important part of building a trusting and therapeutic relationship is that we can work together as therapy is collaborative.

I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation, this will give us time to have a chat about your needs and to establish if you feel I am the right fit for you and we can work together.

The best way to contact me is via email or text and then we can arrange a suitable time for us to have a telephone consultation

I look forward to hearing from you.
