About me

If you’ve landed here, you’re probably tired - and not just the “really need a nap” kind of tired, but the deep, soul-level kind that comes from keeping everything together for too long.

Maybe you’ve forgotten who you really are, after years of wearing masks and trying to fit in with everyone around you, wondering “Why can’t I just be normal?”
Or maybe you’re living with anxiety that never quite switches off, a body that won’t cooperate, or a brain that won’t stop overthinking. Maybe you’ve been the strong one for everyone else, and there’s just nothing left in the tank for you.

Whatever shape your story takes, you deserve a place to finally tell it and gently set down the weight you've been carrying, just for a little while.

Who am I and who do I work with?

Hi! I’m Fee.
I’m an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist, and my work is grounded in warmth, curiosity, and care.
Therapy with me isn’t about analysing you from a distance but about being alongside you while we make sense of things together.

I’m neurodivergent (AuDHD), live with a chronic illness, and am a wheelchair user. I’m also a survivor of childhood (and, let’s be honest, a bunch of adult) trauma and abuse.

But this isn’t all I am; Just as your experiences and lowest moments aren’t all you are.
I’m also a cat and dog mum, an avid gardener, a book lover, a fairy light enthusiast, and a firm believer in the healing powers of a good cup of tea. I’m a friend, a sister, a daughter, and a godmother.

All that is to say that I hope to offer you a space to rediscover who you are when life isn’t just about surviving another day.

I have particular experience and interest in supporting people living with chronic illness or neurological long-term conditions (especially stigmatised or misunderstood ones like FND), as well as those healing from trauma - whether that’s childhood experiences, sexual, domestic, or narcissistic abuse, medical trauma and gaslighting, or the quieter kind of pain that’s harder to name but nonetheless heavy to carry.

Having said that, I also regularly work with anxiety, depression, ADHD / Autism (especially when diagnosed in adulthood), relationship issues, burnout, family issues, Identity exploration (including LGBTQIA+), and just the general struggle of trying to be alive and cope as a human in this world.

Sometimes life doesn't have a neat label for what you're experiencing. It just feels heavy, and that's reason enough to reach out.

You don't have to do this alone!

I work with teenagers 14 and up and adults of all ages.

It goes without saying, but everybody is welcome here!
I am part of the LGBTQIA+ community and will accept and see you as whoever you arrive here.
I am a safe space; you can use whatever name, pronouns or toilet you want.

What is therapy with me like?
My approach is gentle, trauma-informed, and integrative.
I believe you’re the expert in your own life, and that healing often starts when you feel safe and accepted just as you are. I use many different therapeutic approaches depending on what fits you best, because there’s no one-size-fits-all when it comes to being human.

I draw from varying modalities including, but not limited to, Person-centred counselling, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic, Transactional Analysis, Gestalt, Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Therapy with me is calm, collaborative, and human.  I always bring my full, authentic self (awkward parts and all!) and not a polished professional persona.
Just a real human who knows how it feels to sit in the other chair, as a client, trying to piece myself back together when I did not even know who I really was beneath the surface.
No matter what you bring into the room, you will always be accepted for who you are and where you are at. I will meet you there and we'll start figuring things out together.

All of that means that there's often space for laughter, connection, and moments of lightness in the heavy. Therapy can be serious and deep, yes, but it can also be warm, human, and real.

I believe that real healing can only start when you allow yourself to be seen as you truly are. The therapeutic space with me will hopefully be the place where you can slowly start to realise that you don't need fixing, that you were never broken, and that you have always been good enough just as you are.

I offer a free 20-minute introductory call so you can get a feel for me and how I work before deciding if I’m the right fit.
No pressure, just two people having a chat. You can ask me anything you want and in turn I can share a little more about the way I work.

I hope to offer you a space to untangle, understand, and maybe even start to feel like yourself again.

Further information

I offer sessions online / over the phone throughout the UK and in person from calm, private therapy rooms in Liverpool.

Whether we’re talking face-to-face or through a screen or phone, my focus is on creating a space where your nervous system can take a breath and your shoulders can finally drop a little.

Accessibility matters here. I work in wheelchair-accessible spaces, and I genuinely welcome conversations about what you need to feel comfortable and supported. If there are sensory needs, pacing preferences, or practical adjustments that help you show up as you are, just tell me. We’ll shape the space around you, not the other way round.

Therapy with me is gentle and steady. No rushing, no pressure to “get it together”, no performance required. You don’t need to arrive with perfect words or a neat story.

If you ramble, lose your thread mid-sentence, freeze, go quiet, or need a moment to tuck yourself into your hoodie like a tiny anxious turtle retreating into it's shell… honestly, that’s fine. Humans do that. I do that. We work with it, not against it.

My practice is trauma-informed, neuro-affirming, queer-affirming, disability-aware and built around genuine care, curiosity and consent. This is your space, not mine. You lead the pace; I walk alongside you.

I offer a free 20 minute introductory call so you can get a sense of me, ask questions, and see whether this feels like a good fit. No pressure or sales pitch just two humans seeing if we feel safe enough to talk.

If you’re wondering whether you’re “struggling enough” or “too much” to reach out - you’re fine. You’re welcome here as you are, wherever you’re at.

Wheelchair user access
Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a Counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the Counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.

As I am a wheelchair user myself, you can be reassured that any location I practice from will be wheelchair accessible. I am committed to making my practice as accessible as possible so please get in touch if you have specific requirements!
