About us
Hi,
With over seven years’ experience as a CBT and EMDR therapist and further advanced training in Transactional Analysis, I help clients explore the layers beneath their anxiety, depression, relationships, self-worth, and identity. I aim to provide a space that is free from judgement, where you will feel seen, heard and feel comfortable enough to explore any difficulties that you may want to bring to the therapy room.
I am trained in CBT, which is a type of therapy that supports you to understand your thought process, how it makes you feel and recognise behaviours that are linked to it. I don’t just want to help you think differently. I want to help you feel differently, too.
I am also trained in Transactional Analysis, a type of therapy that helps you understand which parts of yourself may be present in your relationships with others and with yourself. These parts are known as ego states: the Parent, Adult, and Child. Once we understand how these work we can start to build better relationships with other people.
And lastly, I am trained in EMDR which is a form of therapy that is used to process traumatic events. When we go through a incident which is traumatic for us, the trauma can stay stuck in our nervous system and triggers in our environment can invite us to feel as we did during the time of the trauma. With EMDR I will use eye movements to help process trauma and reduce uncomfortable or distressing feelings trapped in the body. EMDR can also be used for a variety of difficulties such as panic disorder, social anxiety and phobias.
Clients often come to me feeling stuck, anxious, or unsure of who they are. Sometimes they’ve spent so long pleasing others that they’ve lost sight of what they truly want or need. Together, we explore what’s been shaping your patterns and gently work towards change. I do this at your pace and with empathy and compassion.
I believe that therapy isn’t just about techniques. It’s about connection. My priority is creating a space where you feel safe enough to be fully yourself. Especially the parts that feel messy, confused, or unseen.
If you're ready to get curious about yourself and your life, I’d be honoured to walk alongside you.
