About me

If you’re here, you’re probably facing some personal challenges and needing some support. Life can get hard and overwhelming sometimes. We can’t always manage it all on our own. Talking to someone, an impartial professional, can be useful.  You might be battling depression or anxiety. You may feel stuck, lost or have low self-esteem. Our relationships can sometimes become a source of pain and frustration. Sometimes, we don’t even really know what the issue is. We just know something isn’t quite right. It's important to know, you don’t have to deal with it all on your own.

Talking to friends and family may not always be helpful. Maybe you can’t be as open with them as you’d like. Maybe they don’t really understand. Therapy could provide the kind of support you need. It could give you the opportunity to be listened to, in a safe and non-judgmental way. I have worked with a wide range of issues and no topic would be off-limits in our sessions. Everything is welcome between us. We can find out what is getting in the way of you living a more joyful, authentic and meaningful life. To bring about the change you might be seeking.

I’m an integrative therapist and I'm here to support you in whatever it is you're going through. Integrative therapy draws on a variety of therapeutic approaches. Namely psychodynamic, person-centred and humanistic. My approach is tailor-made to suit your needs. I work relationally, which means I value the therapeutic relationship - our relationship. I believe it to be the foundation of our work together.

Before becoming a therapist, I worked in the City of London. I saw how regardless of circumstance, we all face challenges that sometimes feel insurmountable. I also know reaching out can be difficult. I understand that. I have been a client too. But I can also tell you that therapy can be transformative and rewarding. Empowering and liberating.

It is important that you find the right therapist for you. So I offer a free 50 minute online consultation so we can see if we can work well together.

Training, qualifications & experience

I qualified at The Minster Centre in London, which is a leading psychotherapy training institute in Europe. I continue to engage with CPD (Continuing Professional Development) to keep my knowledge up to date.

Over the years, I have worked in a range of mental health organisations offering counselling and psychotherapy. I now work in private practice with adult individuals, offering short or long-term therapy.

I’m a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I adhere to BACP’s Ethical Guidelines.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
