About me
I am a qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist offering therapy on a one to one basis. I am a remember of the BACP and a student member of the BPS. I have been working in this field for 7 years, and teaching counselling for 5 years.
I believe the two most important factors are that you feel comfortable with me and that we work safely. This is why I offer a free 30 minute assessment. You can meet me, we assess if I’m right for you and we go from there. I work with a person centred approach, psychodynamic approach, transactional analysis, existentialism and CBT. Teaching helps me by consistently staying up to date on new techniques and research.
I have a huge passion for working with marginalised clients and predominantly work with people involved in crime that want support. I believe in empowering my clients. Some sessions may feel heavy, others you may feel enlightened. That’s ok. I will be there to support you therapeutically.
I work from home which allows me to keep costs down for clients. I also can work with high profile clients in their own home but contact me directly to arrange a customised package.
I have been in the media for my achievements working with hoarding behaviours. More recently, I have been in the media, television, newspapers and radio for my campaign to raise awareness of blue spots. I have won awards for my work.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
