About me
I’m an integrative therapist combining the person-centred model, somatic trauma therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy, with gentle nature-based and creative elements. I provide a warm, non-judgemental space to help you reconnect with your body, clarify values and take meaningful steps.
We move at your pace, using presence, grounding somatic practices and ACT tools to ease distress and change unhelpful patterns. Sessions can be walking outdoors and simple creative exercises to deepen insight and support practical change. If walking isn’t your thing, we can meet online or in my therapy room.
Training, qualifications & experience
I originally trained as a Person-centred level 5 therapeutic counsellor. I have since added to my therapeutic knowledge by training in Somatic trauma therapy training with Babette Rothschild and also ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy).
I have also completed training in supporting people with burnout as I believe this is a modern day issue.
I also provided supervision for counsellors and student counsellors. I currently work in equine-assisted psychotherapy and have experience to support counsellors working in this industry also.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society This Not For Profit association of counsellors and psychotherapists aim to support the counselling profession, members and training organisations. In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Further information
I have experience in working with adults and young people aged 10 upwards. The majority of my work has been supporting people who have experienced high levels of stress and trauma, difficult life changing situations and struggling with anxiety.
Previous to counselling, I worked in the NHS supporting people back into their communities who have spent periods of time in hospital due to poor mental health. This has really given me a deeper insight and understanding of some mental health challenges.
