About me

Hello, thank you for visiting my page and taking the first steps to receiving some support.

I am a qualified Integrative counsellor and I run my face to face practice in Dafen, Llanelli.

I am now able to also offer online and telephone counselling so this will enable you to have counselling in the comfort of your own home.

Who can I help?

I work with children, young people and adults. As well as having a successful private practice, I am also an experienced school-based counsellor who has worked with comprehensive and primary school-aged children.

My specialist areas include; Anxiety, bereavement, depression, low self esteem, loss, trauma, self compassion and relationships with self and others.

Before qualifying as a therapist, I worked as a support worker within mental health and brain injury therapy. While doing this, I gained a great desire to help those who are suffering with their mental health. I then went onto study and qualify as a therapeutic counsellor.

I can provide a safe, confidential space for you to talk through what is troubling you, free from judgement.

Counselling involves the process of assisting and guiding you on a professional basis, to help to work through personal, social, or psychological problems and difficulties.

What happens next?

I fully understand that it can feel very overwhelming thinking about how to approach a counsellor like myself. The first step is to get in contact with me, you can call or text me on 07598 348309 or click here to send me an email. I can offer you some information and answer any questions you may have before you make a decision to book a session or not.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
