About me
Hi, I am Dr Covernton, an HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist who is friendly, easy to connect with and compassionate. Whether you are seeking help for a specific challenge/difficulty or are wanting to explore broader aspects of yourself, I am confident that I can help you on your journey of change and discovery. I work across the lifespan, working with early years children, adolescents, teens, adult and older adults. I work with individuals, couples and families. I use a broad range of therapeutic modalities in my work. Some examples include EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), CBT, DBT, and CFT to name a few.
I an active in my continued professional development and have completed further training in EDMR and IFS (Level 1 & 2) and many other approaches. The approach to therapy will be guided by assessment and a shared understanding of why you are seeking help, what type of therapy you have in mind, and what may be most effective for you.
Deciding to start therapy can be a big decision for some and I understand the importance of having time to ensure you connect with me before making a commitment. I offer a 30 minute complimentary video session to support with this. I invite you to make contact with me to book in some time and to begin your journey towards positive change.
