About me

Professional training and experience:

Originally trained in psychodynamic counselling, with an emphasis on unconscious processes and early childhood experiences, I have become more integrative over time. I use a combination of approaches, including solution focussed techniques, psychodynamic therapy, person centred counselling, coaching and CBT techniques, tailor made to what works best for you.

Working style:

I am friendly and relatable, believing that the relationship between therapist and client is fundamental to healing and positive change. I am passionate about working collaboratively, offering emotional support and helping you gain more control of your life. I will not judge you or tell you what to do. Instead I will listen, reflect back and ask questions, helping you to achieve greater clarity, understanding and empowering you to overcome the difficulties you are facing.

Areas of interest:

Experienced in working with a wide range of emotional problems, I am particularly interested in issues surrounding family and relationships, sexuality, negative thinking, anxiety and low self esteem. Having recently become a mother, I am also passionate about working with women and men who are struggling with problems related to pregnancy, childbirth and postnatal depression. It can be such a wonderful yet stressful time with so many changes and pressures and I feel it is so important to have a safe space to talk and get the support you need.

Getting started:

Please phone or email me if you have any questions or would like to arrange an initial consultation.
