About me
Hi, I'm Emily, well done for taking the first step in looking for a therapist to support you. I work with all of my clients in a slightly different way in order to adapt what I offer using different modalities of counselling. I want to enable you to be really heard as I believe that one of the purposes of therapy is to give you trust and understanding in yourself so you are then prepared to face things as they may come up in the future. Together we can explore whatever you feel you need to, however you need to and at a pace that works for you. I have particular experience in supporting people who have experienced domestic abuse and past trauma, as well as depression and anxiety.
I offer you a supportive, empathetic and non judgemental space, where you can speak freely and say whatever you need to in a confidential setting. You can be truly you within our sessions. If this sounds like something you are interested in, please contact me for a FREE 30 minute consultation which can take place either online or face to face in my counselling space in Exmouth.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold a level 5 diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling Practice as well as an advanced qualification in Online and Telephone Counselling. I am currently working with an organisation specialising in supporting survivors of domestic violence and trauma, and have experience working in a more generalised service offering counselling to those on a low income. I have completed additional training specifically on anxiety and panic attacks, and somatic therapy for trauma release.
