About me
Are you feeling overwhelmed by life’s challenges or unsure how to move forward? Sometimes, when life gets too much, it can be hard to see a way out. I’m here to offer support in navigating those tough moments. Together, we can explore what’s going on, at your pace, and work towards finding solutions that feel right for you. You don't have to do it alone.
I adopt an integrative approach, drawing on different theories so that my treatment is tailored to fit your needs. I’m adaptive in my methods and whether that is using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Person Centred Theory (PCT) or other creative arts – it is what works best for you.
Where does the therapy take place? I am based in Hockley, Essex and offer face to face, online, telephone, walk and talk therapy - I will work with what works best for you.
Who do I work with? I can work with both adults and children and have worked with clients as young as 5 years old, I have experience working in schools as well as adult agencies.
Not had counselling before? Imagine a space where your thoughts and feelings are not just heard, but truly recognised and validated - a safe place where you can explore the depths of your emotions without fear of judgment. I am here to meet you right where you are now and together we will work at your pace.
I believe in the transformative power of genuine human connection. My approach is rooted in the understanding that each individual possesses the innate capacity for growth and self-discovery. By creating a safe, non-judgmental space, I empower my clients to explore their thoughts and feelings. With a focus on empathy and active listening, I strive to foster a therapeutic relationship that encourages openness and vulnerability, allowing clients to uncover their true selves and navigate life's challenges with confidence.
Life can be challenging and feel overwhelming at times. I wholeheartedly believe that everyone is doing the best they can, in the circumstances that they have been given. Carl Rogers, the founder of PCT, beautifully articulated this idea: “The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change".
What next? I offer a free initial phone call to see whether we might ‘fit’ and to see what you're coming to therapy for and looking to gain from the sessions, so please get in touch and we can begin.
Good luck with your journey.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
