About me

Child & Adolescent Specialist: Helping Kids and Teenagers Navigate Anxiety, Stress, and Behavioral Changes in Central Cambridge Kings Parade.

As a University of Cambridge graduate and UKCP-accredited child and adolescent psychotherapeutic counsellor, I specialize in helping young people navigate complex mental health difficulties. I passionately believe that lasting healing happens when we work together. Because of this, my practice extends beyond individual sessions; I collaborate closely with parents and carers. Together, we will discover sustainable ways to cope, heal, and thrive, while equipping you with the practical, real-world strategies needed to support your child’s ongoing emotional well-being.

Trained in the Reflective Parenting Model, I partner with you to uncover what your child's actions are telling us, giving you the tools to help them regulate their emotions. My parent consultations provide a targeted, adult-only space focused purely on practical guidance. Please note that this space is not therapy; instead, it is a collaborative, strategic environment where we focus on child development, household dynamics, and actionable parenting steps.

To fit around school and work schedules, I provide a secure, non judgemental creative space. I offer in-person sessions in Cambridge on Mondays and Thursdays afternoon  alongside secure online Zoom sessions throughout the week. I also offer 20 minutes free zoom consultation to parents to discuss briefly the presenting issues and get to know each other.

Areas of Expertise
Anxiety & Mood: Panic attacks, generalized anxiety, phobias, low mood, and depression.
School & Academic Stress: School refusal, perfectionism, performance anxiety, and social exclusion.
Neurodivergence Support: Navigating the emotional impacts of ADHD, Autism, and learning differences.
Complex Challenges: Self-harm, disordered eating, trauma, and identity exploration.
Family & Transitions: Parental separation, bereavement, relocation, and relationship difficulties.

How therapy can help your child/ adolescent?
Every child is different and as an integrative therapist, I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. I draw from multiple therapeutic methods by blending talk therapy with creative tools such as art, clay, sand‑tray and drawing, helping kids express feelings that can be hard to put into words. Sessions are adapted to age and comfort level.

For older adolescents, I often combine Cognitive‑Behavioural Therapy (CBT) with talking therapy and psycho‑education—an approach many find both practical and empowering.

How We Work Together
Tailored Sessions: Each session is designed around your child’s unique needs, creating a calm, confidential environment where difficult emotions can be understood.
Flexible Length: Therapy is a personal journey. Some families find relief in a few months; others benefit from longer support. We’ll move at a pace that feels right for you.
Parent Involvement: Periodically I invite parents to join a brief discussion, keeping you informed about progress and next steps.
Open‑Ended Commitment: Sessions continue for as long as you feel they’re helpful—there’s no fixed end date.

Getting Started
Taking the first step can feel daunting, so I offer a free 20‑minute Zoom consultation with just the parents. This is a relaxed chat where we can discuss your main concerns, answer any questions, and see if we’re a good fit—no fee, no obligation.

If we decide to move forward, we’ll begin with two initial discovery sessions. These sessions are a collaborative, gentle space for us to explore challenges and set meaningful goals together.

Initial Session (Parents/Carer only): We’ll get to know each other, clarify the issues you’re facing, and outline therapy goals.
Joint Session (Parents + Child/Teen): A collaborative session to deepen our understanding and set a shared direction for the work ahead.
These assessments give us a chance to build trust, explore the challenges, and decide together how best to support your child’s wellbeing.

Taking the first step can feel daunting. When you are ready, click the 'Email me' button above. You can request an initial, confidential 20-minute  consultation so we can discuss the best way to support your child together.

My fees reflect the specialism, training and the time in and outside the sessions.
