About me

Whoever you choose to talk to, please know that by being here, you've already taken a meaningful first step towards finding a happier, more content version of yourself.

Even the strongest among us can find life difficult at times. The power of talking - really talking - should never be underestimated. Speaking your true thoughts and feelings out loud (without filtering, as we often do with family and friends so as not to upset or worry them) can bring clarity and a deeper understanding of yourself, your emotions, and what you truly need.

I'm here to listen, to understand, and to help you explore what's going on for you, and what you might need to begin moving forward.

My approach

As a trained and qualified Integrative Counsellor, I draw on Person-Centred Therapy, Transactional Analysis, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to support you in a way that suits your individual needs. This means we can work together in a flexible and compassionate way that best suits you.

I offer a warm, down-to-earth, safe and confidential space where you can explore, without any judgment, whatever is troubling you. I work empathetically and professionally alongside you to help you understand how your thoughts, feelings and behaviours are impacting your everyday life. Together, we'll explore how things feel for you and what they mean, helping you make sense of your experiences. From there, we can begin to develop new ways of thinking and responding that ease the distress you're currently facing.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work following its Ethical Framework.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
