About me

Hi, I'm Ellen an Art therapist who specialises in working online with adults living with chronic health conditions.

This means I support anyone living with:

  • invisible illnesses -we hold and hide so much that others don't see
  • long term health conditions - we might have daily and long term challenges that aren't going anywhere anytime soon.
  • dynamic disability - we have good days and bad and everything in between.  Confusing for others and frustrating and unpredictable for ourselves.
  • pain conditions - whether it is debilitating or low level aching - living with pain is incredibly draining and impacts everything we do.
  • fatigue -  deep and impossible to ignore. Fatigue can slow the world and our lives right down and is a heavy burden to carry alone.

You should know that the specific diagnosis may not be the main focus of therapy.

The way it impacts your life is what we can look at together.

After all you are much more than a diagnosis and a long list of symptoms. Whether you are going through  relationship challenges stress, self esteem issues, struggles with self confidence,  grief we can use art therapy as a gentle self-directed way to look at life.

You do not need any art skills or fancy art materials. Sessions are adapted to suit your energy levels and physical capacity.

I specifically offer online therapy because I understand that your time is energy. Attending therapy shouldn't deplete you of either.

Let's face it nobody chooses to be chronically ill. I know I didn't. But we do deserve to have a place to talk about how hard it can be and how it impacts our daily life.

If this sparks your interest then visit my website, check out my blog posts to get a better feel for me as a therapist and a person and contact me if you would like to give art therapy a go.

Until we speak,

stay creative, because it really can help.
