About me
I am an integrative and transpersonal therapist, drawing on a range of therapeutic approaches to meet your individual needs. Rather than seeing symptoms as something to get rid of, I see them as meaningful expressions of your inner world. Together, we explore the patterns, relationships, and experiences that have shaped you, creating the possibility for deeper understanding, healing, and lasting change.
Training, qualifications & experience
I'm Elena. If you're here, you're probably looking for a therapist who feels like the right fit. I hope this gives you a sense of who I am and how I work.
I am an integrative transpersonal therapist. My approach is relational, thoughtful, and gently paced, offering a space where you can explore your experiences safely and without judgement.
I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches, including psychodynamic, Gestalt, attachment, humanistic and Jungian thinking. Alongside psychological understanding, I also hold space for questions of meaning, purpose and connection. I believe that the relationship we build together can become an important part of the healing process.
My work is shaped not only by professional training but also by life experience. I worked in the corporate world, so I understand the pressures of responsibility, performance, and constant juggling. Having grown up in Romania and lived in the UK for nearly twenty years, I know what it means to live between cultures. Becoming a mother later in life has also deepened my understanding of identity, transition and the questions that often emerge in midlife.
I have also experienced the loss of close family members. While every person's grief is unique, these experiences have given me a deeper capacity to stay alongside the pain that accompanies loss and death with compassion, steadiness and care.
Clients often describe me as calm, thoughtful and deeply attuned. I work collaboratively and at a pace that feels right for you, with the aim of supporting meaningful, lasting change and helping you move towards a life that feels more authentic and fulfilling.
I hold a Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling from Re-Vision and am a registered member of the BACP, working in accordance with its Ethical Framework.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
