About me

I am a Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered clinical psychologist with experience of working in secondary care and specialist NHS services as well as with the third sector.

I offer support for a wide range of difficulties, including low mood and anxiety (panic, social anxiety, OCD), low self-esteem and confidence, (complex) post-traumatic stress disorder (c-PTSD), difficulties managing emotions and relational difficulties.

In my practice I use a range of therapeutic models including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), compassion focused therapy (CFT), schema therapy, eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR), narrative exposure therapy (NET), and narrative therapy.

I know that beginning therapy is not always easy and it takes courage to take the first step in asking for support. During our initial assessment we will have the opportunity to clarify what you would like to work on in therapy and develop a shared understanding of your difficulties before planning how to move forward with an approach that best suits you. I offer a thoughtful and reflective space in which we can explore and work through challenges which are keeping you feeling stuck. I value authenticity, compassion and curiosity in my work and I am committed to supporting you to make lasting changes that allow you to live a valued and meaningful life.

I offer both short and long-term therapy, depending on your needs and hopes for therapy.

Please note, I usually respond to enquiries within a day. If you have not heard back from me, please check your 'junk' folder.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist based in East London with experience of working in specialist mental health settings in the NHS.  Within my NHS role I work as a lead psychologist in a homelessness service. I have additional post-qualification training in the therapeutic models listed above.

HCPC
Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
