About me

At times we all need connection. Whether we are struggling to acknowledge feelings, or are completely overwhelmed by them. Whether we can identify our needs, or are not at all sure where we want to be. Whatever our situation, reaching for a connection can help us.

As a fully qualified therapist, I aim to provide that connection. My practice is rooted in person-centred ideals and relationships, while employing an holistic and integrative approach.

I am experienced at working with many forms of distress ranging from anxiety, depression, anger, loss and trauma. I understand that these forms of distress can deeply impact how we feel and function in our everyday life. I also know from experience that it can be hard to know where to start, and how to take the first step towards well-being. Therefore, I welcome you to contact me for an initial chat.

I have extensive experience at working with addictions, through working in residential rehabilitation settings. I understand the profound impact that addiction can have on every aspect of one's life. Taking that first step towards recovery can be daunting, and I'm here to provide a compassionate and non-judgmental space to begin that journey.

As well as my private practice, I have worked with a mental health charity, specialising in anger management. We can unpack the roots of anger and any underpinning feelings, and help you to develop a deeper understanding and self-acceptance. Change is possible. Always.

I believe that every experience shapes us and leads us to this moment. In order to nurture self-awareness and any desired changes, we can explore these experiences side by side. I look to understand your unique circumstances from your perspective. Together, we can navigate the parts of yourself that may feel in conflict. Your well-being is paramount and we will always move at your pace and whatever you are comfortable with.

My personal experience has shown me that we can heal and grow, and that therapy can provide the means to achieve our goals. Sometimes we need to “feel it to heal it.”

If you're feeling uncertain, vulnerable, or anxious about seeking help, please know that you are not alone. I welcome you to contact me and we can discuss your concerns and the possibilities open to you. Reaching out for support is a courageous step towards a healthier and happier future. I'm here for you every step of the way.

“Without inner peace, outer peace is impossible.”

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
