About me

Welcome to my page!

My name is Dorottya, and I am an Integrative Therapist and Coach. I offer both short and long term work to private clients and organisations. I have been trained in both disciplines, and I aim to work both on your internal and external world by using approaches from Counselling, Psychotherapy and Coaching.

I have experience being in both chairs; therefore I know how liberating and life-changing it can be to be able to find someone who can guide you through a journey that therapy can offer. Whatever the reason may be for contacting me, I aim to support you in understanding what causes you difficulty in your every day life, help you heal and support you in making the changes you want. I believe that each individual is unique and complex and I aim to create a different therapy for each of my clients, tailored to their needs.

Mindfulness is an important aspect of my work therefore I also offer Walk and Talk Therapy. Research shows that infusing walking with therapy can help people get "unstuck" and feel more connected to themselves. Walking alongside visual distractions can support with easier engagement as there is no need to directly look at the other person; things can flow more naturally. Body movement can be a metaphor in itself, for moving forward. We decide collaboratively, the pace, the route, when to walk, or sit to reflect on any of your thoughts.

Walk and Talk sessions are conducted in Battersea or Holland Park, although I am open for suggestions if you have a preferred park. Please see my website for further information.

I believe that finding the right therapist can be difficult, therefore I offer a free 30 minute (via phone or skype) what I call “chemistry check”. There is no obligation for you to commit. I feel that this is an important opportunity for you to ask questions and see whether we can work together.
