About me
My approach is integrative, collaborative and tailored to your individual needs. Alongside traditional talking therapy, we may use therapeutic arts, sand tray work, mindfulness-based practices and CBT-informed strategies where appropriate.
Navigating adult life challenges whilst carrying the impact of earlier relationships can be, at the least, difficult to make sense of and at worst, a heavy burden that grows heavier with each new experience. Are you wondering how you learned to cope and how your environment helped shape who you are? Your desires and ambitions may have taken a back seat because it is hard to feel accomplished, when it seems like you're your worst enemy. Therapy and counselling helps better understanding and acceptance of yourself, giving you safe, attachment based relational space where you can explore the new, better balanced self.
I help adults recognise and break out of persistent behaviour patterns. You may struggle with people pleasing, fear of rejection, difficulty setting boundaries, relationship anxiety or sense of disconnection. Therapy enables the exploration of a relational or attachment wound that is causing the hurt and offers a safe place where you can heal and grow.
I also work with parents and children to help manage difficult life transitions and big life events that may cause hardship in the relationship between the parent and the child or may be impacting the child in ways that are unhelpful to their life at present. We work together to create better ways of communicating and relating by building better coping strategies for the future.
We acknowledge the impact these issues are having on the body as well and we build the awareness of how we can help ourself physically bear the stresses and strains of life better. Together, we will seek to deepen self-understanding, strengthen resilience and support meaningful, lasting change. Working relationally means engaging the emerging relationship between therapist and client, the dialogue that develops is used by the counsellor to attune to client’s relational needs.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
