About me
Prior to becoming a Play Therapist, I have worked for many years within education, predominantly within the special needs sector with children and young people with additional barriers to learning, such as developmental trauma, family separation, bereavement, neurodiversity and attachment interruptions.
Through my educational experience and play therapy training, I have developed a broad knowledge base and deep understanding of child development and child-centred integrative way of therapeutic working This has given me the skills to listen compassionately and to understand, from their perspective, why children feel, behave and express their emotions in a particular way. To date, I have worked with children who have experienced bereavement, parental separation, anxiety, social isolation and friendship worries, social, emotional and behaviour regulation struggles.
I am a fully qualified BAPT Play Therapist, with a MSc in Play Therapy (Dist) from the University of South Wales. It is a privilege to support and work alongside children who are finding life tough. Within a child-centred integrative approach, I work respectfully, sensitively and empathically in a trustful, non-judgemental way with families and wider support networks to help children heal and find their joy.

Member organisations
The British Association of Play Therapists was founded in 1992 by a group of now respected practitioners who introduced and pioneered Play Therapy within Britain. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
