About me

I have vast experience of working in the care profession, as well as  twenty five years as a Psychotherapist/Counsellor. I am a Registered Member MBACP (Accred) Counsellor, Psychotherapist and an (Accred) Supervisor and a Registered Member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society.   The registers are accredited by the Professional Standards Authority for Health & Social Care which is recognition within the health and social sector. I am also a Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society. I have an MA & BSc (Hon’s) in Psychology/Counselling, Dip in Psychodynamic Counselling/Dip in Integrative Supervision.    Regardless of training and qualifications, my philosophy is that the relationship between the therapist and client is the most important ingredient for therapy to work.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Additional information

Individuals

£70 for an initial therapy consultation of 1 hour. If we agree to continue, the fees are £60 per therapy session.  Due to an individual's financial situation, especially in this difficult time due to rising prices etc., a lot of people of going through, I am of course very understanding if someone would like to discuss low cost counselling at my discretion.

Couples
The initial consultation fee is £75.00 for 1 hour.  In some cases, couple work can require longer sessions and fees are adjusted accordingly.

Supervision
I offer  Supervision for £65.00 per hour or 1 hour 30 minutes for £90.00.

Group Supervision
Fees for organisations and agencies are negotiable according to travelling time and expenses.

I am a flexible therapist and work  not only with people who like the regular time every week, I also work with people or couples  who do shift work or can only come fortnightly etc.

My working hours are Monday to Saturday morning.  Please see the section on (Fees and Availability), this shows my working times.  I am when it comes to appointment times, as a flexible therapist as I have always worked with people who work shifts etc. 

As well as Face to Face work,  I work online on Face time,. Google, Teams and What's App
