About me
Many people come to therapy because something in their life feels no longer manageable. At times it can be a sense of anxiety, depression, or feeling stuck in patterns that are difficult to shift.
The therapy I offer is a place where these experiences can be spoken about and explored, allowing space for a deeper understanding of what is happening beneath the surface of everyday life.
My way of working is embodied, attuned and grounded in presence and compassion. I draw on psychological approaches that help bring unconscious patterns into awareness; yet I am also attentive to the spiritual dimensions of the human experience that are sometimes overlooked in conventional therapy.
Before training as a psychotherapist I spent over fifteen years teaching yoga and meditation, including extended periods living in India studying with spiritual teachers. That background continues to inform the cadence of my work. For some people this may open questions around meaning, purpose, or spirituality; for others it simply supports a quieter, more reflective way of approaching the difficulties they bring.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am trained with The Karuna Institute in Bristol and Dartmoor (PG. Dip.) and am Accredited in Mindfulness Based Core-Process Psychotherapy.
I have been working with private clients for fifteen years and for the last four years in private practice as a psychotherapist.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
My intention is to create a grounded, confidential environment where you can explore sensitive or complex parts of your life at your own pace and feel supported in being fully yourself. I am trauma-informed, queer-aligned, sex-positive and non-judgemental in my approach, offering a space where all aspects of your identity and experience are met with openness and respect. This includes working with a wide range of life experiences; from relationship and emotional difficulties to questions of identity, meaning, and belonging.
With the consent of my clients, I use zoom AI to create summaries of each session which I can then convert into 5-10 journalling prompts for my clients to work with if they like, between sessions.
This has proved very useful, offering a reflective dimension that clients can engage with between sessions.
