About me
When life brings our most difficult moments - loss, infertility or sudden change - it can feel hard to find solid ground.
You may be carrying grief, confusion or questions that don’t have easy answers. But you don’t have to carry them all on your own.
I’m Denise, an accredited counsellor with over 25 years’ experience supporting people through some of their most challenging times. Clients often describe me as calm, warm and easy to talk to, and I offer a space where you can feel heard, without judgement or pressure.
Individual Counselling
Whether you are navigating a recent crisis or a long-standing struggle, I offer a grounded approach to help you make sense of things.
With experience across a wide range of life’s complexities - from low mood and anxiety, stress and trauma to the weight of bereavement, we will work together to find a way forward.
Loss and Infertility
With a particular interest in pregnancy loss, infertility, and stillbirth, I bring specialist training and compassion to this delicate work. I provide a steady presence for those navigating these specific and often isolating journeys.
Relationship Counselling
When relationships start to break down, it can feel impossible to know how to make things better. I can help you to talk openly, work through tension and conflict and find clarity about your future together.
Separation Counselling
Ending a relationship can be complicated and painful. I offer a calm environment to untangle the emotional and practical difficulties and part with care and respect.
Clinical Supervision
Beyond my work with clients, I provide clinical supervision for trainee and qualified therapists. This is a reflective space to help deepen your practice and maintain the highest ethical standards.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
