About me

Break free from anxiety, trauma or depression.

Are you feeling stuck in anxiety, low mood, trauma, or emotional pain? When these feelings affect your confidence, sleep, relationships, or daily life, it can feel overwhelming and difficult to know where to turn. With the right support and approach, meaningful change is possible.

Alongside my counselling and hypnotherapy qualifications, I have recently undertaken an Accelerated Change Therapist Course which includes training in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Hypnotherapy and Eye Movement Therapy (EMT).

I undertook this specialist training to achieve deeper, faster results for my clients. These techniques are powerful and tailored to your unique needs—many clients notice results, often within just one or two sessions.

As a therapist, seeing these positive changes is incredibly rewarding.

In addition to the above I am also trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centred Therapy and Psychodynamic Therapy. This is why I can support clients with a wide range of difficulties, including:

Anxiety - Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Social Anxiety and Panic Attacks.

Trauma

Depression.

Anger Management

Bereavement and loss

Cancer

Family or Relationship Issues

Bullying

Menopause

Low confidence, low self-  esteem and performance issues.

Insomnia and sleep problems

Sports Performance

Stop vaping

Weight loss and breaking unhealthy habits

I offer a free 15-minute telephone consultation so you can ask questions and see if we’re the right fit to work together. My priority is to provide a safe, supportive space and help you achieve the best possible outcome from your experience.

Client Reviews

"I got in touch with Deirdre after using Talking Therapies as TT was not helping me deal with my anxieties, self doubt and fear of breaking down at the slightest hurdle. Deirdre was able to hone into my destructive narratives and enable me to overcome these ideas. I feel much more secure and safer now and confident in myself. I no longer fear the worst and enjoy living. Thank you, Deirdre, you know how far I have come in my personal life and career with your help xx RB".

Deirdre is a lovely person with a big and warm smile, that's what made me to choose her out of many other proffessionals. I was so glad to have a chance to meet her in person and use her service. She is a very attentive, helpful and insightful counsellor. My sessions with Deirdre encouraged me to fight with my fear and anxiety. She helped me to grow as a person by recommending particular audiobooks and other material to read and analyze. She also used a hypnotherapy which was very relaxing experience. Highly recommended. LC

I want to say a massive thank you for all your help. Ever since I’ve finished my sessions with you I’ve become a lot happier and have found a new lease of life. Anytime I find myself down I’ve done the exercises you gave me and they’ve always helped me. Thanks again. CM
