About me

If you are suffering from anxiety, depression, low self esteem, having relationship or family issues, I can help.

I am trained across several therapy approaches and also in hypnotherapy. This allows me to adapt to your unique needs, recognising that different methods may be helpful at different points in your journey. Together, we work to identify what you want to achieve and use the best approach/es to help you get there.

Using these different approaches and techniques singally or as a combination allows me to support individuals facing in addition to the above other life challenges such as bereavement, addiction, and trauma. I also offer help with anger management, stress, weight loss, stopping smoking, insomnia and confidence .

If you want to try something different, I can use a combination of counselling (including cognitive behaviour therapy) and hypnotherapy - contact me.

It is an honour to work with individuals and witness how even a few sessions can lead to positive changes in their lives. My aim as a counsellor  and hypnotherapist is to foster hope and provide a confidential, non-judgmental space where we can work together.

One of the key elements of successful therapy is the therapeutic relationship. A good connection is essential so that you feel comfortable and safe in the counselling setting in order to make the positive changes you seek. With this in mind, I offer a free 15-minute telephone consultation before you commit. This allows you to determine if we are a good fit to work together.  If, after the consultation, you feel we can work together, I look forward to supporting you. However, if you feel otherwise, I completely understand. My priority is for you to achieve the best outcome in counselling, even if that means working with someone else

.Client Review

The review below is from my very first client. RB was amazing to work with because she was determine to make the necessary changes to her life.

I used a combination of counselling and hypnotherapy and this is how it helped RB.

"I got in touch with Deirdre after using Talking Therapies as TT was not helping me deal with my anxieties, self doubt and fear of breaking down at the slightest hurdle. Deirdre was able to hone into my destructive narratives and enable me to overcome these ideas. I feel much more secure and safer now and confident in myself. I no longer fear the worst and enjoy living. Thank you, Deirdre, you know how far I have come in my personal life and career with your help xx RB".
