Deborah Oktar-Campbell - MSc Counselling - MBACP (Reg)
Temporary notice - In response to Covid 19 Pandemic I am offering remote sessions; anyone working in healthcare on the front line will be given discounted sessions.
I am a professional practitioner with almost 30 years experience in the Health Care Setting as a Nurse and a Counsellor since 2010.
I feel very privileged to share the journey with my clients and I understand how challenging making a decision to come for counselling can be. You may be having some mixed feelings about seeking help. I can assure you of a confidential space where I will listen to you in a non-judgemental way.
I offer 1:1 integrative counselling within a contracted relationship. This ensures my practice is ethical and that I keep you safe. I see clients over 18.
I strongly believe the counselling relationship is the key to successful outcomes for my clients. This is built on trust and mutual respect. Therapy offers you space and time to reflect on issues and challenges in your life or to enhance areas in your life that you feel would give you greater fulfillment and lead to happiness. Change in our lives can be smoother if there is someone with the necessary skills to help along the way.
I feel privileged to work with every client and share such a journey to a more positive place.
If you are ready to take this step then please do call me; leave a message if I cannot pick up your call and I will call you back. We can arrange an assessment and you can decide if you would like to proceed with me. There is no minimum or maximum number of sessions you can have as my practice is private and not restricted.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
