About me

If you are dealing with difficulties or are feeling increasingly aware of the need to talk to someone, I am here. I am a qualified and experienced therapist working with adults experiencing a range of issues.  Every individual brings their own very specific challenges and understanding you as an individual is the foundation of my work.  Some of the many issues I am able to help with; anxiety, depression, relationships, OCD, low self confidence, life transitions, menopause, redundancy, bereavement and all of the possible challenges of living life.

I believe that we are all valuable individuals with our own unique experiences and sometimes need a confidential, safe environment in which to gain powerful insight and life changing perspective. You will find my approach to be warm, grounding and attuned to you as an individual. My clients often refer to the trust we build between us as allowing them the space and safety to say anything.

I offer a free 15 minute initial online or telephone consultation. I believe it is very important that you find a therapist you feel comfortable with, so if after this initial consultation, you decide not to go ahead I can suggest several therapists or organisations I feel might be helpful to you. Email me and get started on your journey today.

Training, qualifications & experience

I completed four years of post graduate training with Physis Scotland in Edinburgh and hold a Diploma in Transactional Analysis Counselling, which is validated by COSCA.  I am also a member of COSCA.

I also hold a Certificate in Counselling Skills (with a person centred approach) which I completed at Edinburgh College.

I have worked for five years in the voluntary counselling sector in Edinburgh, at the PF Counselling Service and 10 years as a private therapist.

What this means for you
My training in Transactional Analysis gives me a framework to help you understand patterns in your relationships, behaviours, and emotional responses - and how these may have developed over time. It’s a collaborative approach that encourages insight, autonomy, and lasting change.

The person-centred foundation of my work means I offer a warm, non-judgmental space where you can feel truly heard. I believe that you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you, helping you explore what’s going on and what you need.

Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply curious about yourself, I bring both professional rigour and genuine compassion to our sessions. Together, we’ll work at your pace, in a way that feels safe and respectful.
