About me
Whatever your problem, I believe change is possible.
What I offer:
I see adults and young people (16+) and offer both secure on-line sessions and in-person therapy in my North London (NW3) practice.
I specialise in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and offer safe, non-judgemental therapy that aims to help you find solutions to what you are currently going through.
It may be that you are struggling to focus, to get through the day or to sleep at night. You might be lacking in confidence in one or several areas of your life, or finding it difficult to move forward on one or more issues. Or you may have noticed that your previous ways of coping are no longer working for you.
How CBT can help:
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) is endorsed by NICE as being very helpful in treating anxiety and depression as it challenges us to change how we think and behave relative to what is troubling us. It can also be very beneficial for a range of other personal or professional problems that life can throw at us.
How I can help:
Although CBT is not usually long-term therapy, you may feel daunted at the prospect of starting therapy. I offer an empathetic, collaborative approach where we would focus on your specific goals, enabling you to see progress and improve your mental health.
I tailor therapy to each individual client, integrating CBT with counselling and other therapeutic models such as Solution-Focused Therapy and Compassion-Focused therapy, as well as mindfulness and relaxation techniques where relevant.
About me:
After graduating from Oxford University, I worked for many years as a publisher and writer. I then trained as a psychotherapist at Birkbeck (University of London) and the College of Cognitive Behaviour Therapies.
I am an experienced, fully accredited member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society. I am fully bilingual with dual French-English nationality so am also happy to take French-speaking clients.
