About me

I am a relational gestalt psychotherapist and supervisor, which may be the reason you looked at my profile, or may mean nothing to you at all.

Life is complicated and messy, and much as we might like there to be, there isn't a single simple answer. The starting point for our work will always be where you are now and how you are experiencing your situation.

I work in person from the centre of Newark on Trent, and 1 day a week I work online.

Training, qualifications & experience

Prior to becoming a gestalt therapist, I was an Operations Director in large Financial Organisations. My starting point at work has always been people, and what goes on for us, and in-between us has always fascinated me.

I trained at Scarborough Counselling and Psychotherapy Institute (SCPTI) and hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Relational Gestalt Psychotherapy, registered to practice with UKCP (UK Council for Psychotherapy). I have been in private practice for 5 years, and worked during my training on placement at Nottingham Trent University as part of the Student Counselling Team. I have a special interest in working with older teenagers and young adults.

I have completed a Diploma in Supervision, and I am currently working toward accreditation with UKCP.

I joined SCPTI as an Associate Teaching Member on the Gestalt Diploma course in 2025/6.

I co-founded The Listening Collective in 2021. Born from my own experience , we provide 'coaching.by therapists' for people in organisations.

UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Wheelchair user access
Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a Counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the Counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
