Dawn Smith - Dip. Couns, Reg MBACP
If life feels a struggle right now, you don't have to suffer alone. A fully qualified counsellor, based in Clapham Junction SW London, I can help you explore your problems in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment.
Difficult feelings and emotions such as sadness, anxiety or loneliness, can often leave us wondering -
- ‘What is wrong with me?’
- ‘Why am I like this?’
- ‘Will I ever feel happy again?’
In therapy, I work with you to help you recognise and understand your feelings more fully, increase your self-awareness, and support you to consider the changes you may wish to make in your life.
How can I help?
I am an Integrative Counsellor – meaning I ‘integrate’ or bring together, a variety of different therapeutic techniques and approaches to fit the individual needs of each client. Integrative counselling acknowledges we are all unique, and that what’s helpful for one client, might not necessarily be for another. I work collaboratively with you to discover what feels most helpful and effective for you.
Based in bright, comfortable therapy rooms a five-minute walk from Clapham Junction station, weekly counselling sessions, each lasting 50 minutes, are available on either a short or long-term basis. Typically, after an initial telephone or email conversation, a first session is arranged where we can discuss what it is that brings you to counselling now, and what you may wish to achieve. You can then decide whether you want to continue with therapy.
