About me
I am a qualified counsellor with a diploma and a degree in Person-Centred therapy. Through additional training, I can employ an integrative approach, a holistic method that combines techniques from various therapeutic schools and can be tailored to your unique circumstances. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, adhering to their Code of Practice and Ethics.
I create a confidential and non-judgemental environment, allowing you to feel safe and understood. By applying empathy and positive regard, we will build a trusting relationship. This connection will enable you to share your life challenges when you are ready. From there, I will support you in nurturing your personal growth, helping you achieve your goals, and building your confidence to find your own solutions.
I offer face-to-face therapy sessions in the newly refurbished therapy rooms in Chelmsford city centre's heart. The venue is easily accessible via excellent transport links and within walking distance of Chelmsford train and bus station. Additionally, there are several car parks nearby. The entrance to Tindal House is discreetly situated at the rear of the building.
For clients who live on the Dengie Peninsula, I offer sessions in comfortable therapy rooms in Maldon, Essex. This location has nearby parking and bus stops for those who prefer face-to-face therapy.
For clients who prefer not to travel or cannot due to time constraints or disabilities, I provide online therapy via Zoom. This secure service with a Wi-Fi connection is available from anywhere in the UK.
Additionally, I offer telephone-only counselling for those who prefer that option.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Additional information
All face-to-face counselling is held at Silver Street Clinic, located at 21a High St, Maldon, Essex, CM9 5PE. Each therapeutic hour consists of 50 minutes and costs £60.
Online counselling is a rapidly growing approach to mental health support. It provides the same quality of care as traditional in-person therapy but with added flexibility and eliminates the need to travel. Through secure Zoom video calls, I offer personalised one-on-one counselling tailored to your needs. Since the sessions are online, you only need a private space and a device with an internet connection. The online sessions cost £50.
I offer a limited number of concessions for low-paid and unemployed individuals. These sessions are only conducted via Zoom video or telephone calls and are priced at £25.
As living expenses for students can be high, I also provide a discounted rate for those currently enrolled in a university program. These sessions are identical to the standard sessions and cost £25 via Zoom only.

Further information
As a footnote, I would like to share that I am dyslexic and was only diagnosed eight years ago. I offer counselling to clients who suspect they may have undiagnosed dyslexia or have already been diagnosed and are struggling with its effects on their lives. My late diagnosis has had a significant impact on my life.
