About me

I offer compassionate, non-directive person-centred counselling and EMDR therapy in a safe, accepting environment—empowering you to explore your true self and move toward healing at your own pace.

Life can be challenging, and counselling provides the space to work through overwhelming emotions, past experiences, trauma, or unhelpful patterns. Whether you're navigating anxiety, grief, low self-esteem or life transitions, I’m here to support your journey toward clarity, resilience, and personal growth.

Person-Centred Counselling focuses on your natural ability for self-awareness and change. This non-directive form of talk therapy recognises you as the expert in your own life. My role is to offer empathy, presence, and genuine connection—creating a non-judgmental space where you feel safe to explore your thoughts and emotions.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy often used for trauma, but also highly effective for issues like anxiety, phobias, emotional overwhelm and low self-worth. It works with the brain’s natural processing to help you gently release what’s stuck and move forward with more ease.

To help you decide if therapy feels right for you, I offer a free 20-minute online consultation. There’s no pressure—just an opportunity to ask questions and explore how we might work together.

Let’s take the first step toward healing, together.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a registered person-centred counsellor with a Post-Graduate Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling from The Norwich Centre. I came to counselling after many years of personal and professional growth, rooted in the belief that each of us has an innate capacity for self-awareness, healing, and change. I bring a rich life experience to my practice, informed by decades in the business world and a lifelong journey of self-discovery and personal therapy.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
