About me

How do you choose a therapist? Is it cost? I cost a bit more so why would you choose to pay extra to see me?

I have worked as a therapist since 1996 & I have worked as a therapist in NHS since 2003! I have been through many personal and significant life changes and challenges so you will get someone who is real and open with you https://www.mindful-therapy.uk/about-me/

I have had 3 distinct separate trainings. (this is not the same as integrative which means one training) I am fully trained to Masters level qualifications in 3 distinct therapeutic approaches:

I have worked as a Counsellor providing Psychological therapies for over 25 years and am very experienced personally too. I am usually fully booked and when slots become available they are only available in the day-times. I do hope you find what you need.

Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the practice, theory or development of CBT. BABCP also provides accreditation for CBT therapists.

BABCP accredited members adhere to the Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics in the Practice of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies, and are willing to be scrutinised in this adherence as required.

UK Council for Psychotherapy

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
